Ntho’sPen✍️ (Poetry)

Lost in the rhythm of the waves

As they ride on each other unstoppably

It’s like they are hearts of this giant body

An inch away from this beach

Glitter the beautiful wet sand

The shells ride along in the rhythm

The morning birds enjoy the most

As they keep their feathers for later

They take a hunting walk on the banks

Women bring the most disturbing scene

One washes baby napkins on the side

The next is cleaning dishes on the other

One man comes with his toothbrush

Another with soap and shampoo to use

This big body is a multipurpose giant

The “big boys” and men packed in boats

Going as far as the eyes can get

Just to bring the famous chambo to us

The sky hugs this giant from my far view

The sun kisses her back to reflect heaven

The white akakowa paint a perfect picture

There is peace in the noise of the waves

The morning sun rubs my back

While the cold waves massage my feet

As the children skip school again

It’s another day where poverty is not a pain

Just a morning on the banks of lake nyasa
